I'm using the add on solely in tablet mode when the touch pad gestures are not accesibble to navigate forth and back.
To counter issues with interfering with pinch to zoom, just set the add-on to react on a single finger only :)
Works lovely

Nearly impossible to use it for even the simplest gestures like back page and forward page (swipe right and swipe left). The display jerks with the gestures and it is impossible to get the gestures to not zoom into the page at the same time. You lose your orientation.
