2024-04-25 | Irwan | was looking for alternative search engines and found this. flashed my mind that this is a joke. it's not. might be better frontend of G than the DDG. | |
2022-07-25 | DaddyCool | Simple as can be. Retrieves Google Web results only (not images, videos etc.), promptly. Connects to [encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com] to retrieve sites' thumbnails, so if either Google servers or thumbnails bother just block access to [encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com] with 'uBlock Origin' for instance. Code is as clean as simple which allows easy CSS editing in case you consider that the basic page display is excessively minimalist. I haven't installed this extension but I have added QuackQuackGo (smile!) to my search engines via a smart keyword ('QQ', what else?). If you want quick, private access to Google Web search results, this neat little extension will add itself as a search engine... or just visit its website. Simple, clean sites are nowadays not legion, hence a nice score. 4 stars because IMO the display, even remaining simple, could be slightly improved. |
