Update - As per the response to the Dev, then what is the point of having this addon? Seriously? If it is going to use default then I am better off without this addon. We are installing and using this to get an alternative and options.
Works as intended but why GOOGLE in private mode? SERIOUSLY? And too in Firefox? Consider making this all in one with more search engines both in normal and private mode like in context menu.

I have to remember, this extension works on text you select and then right-click on, but not for links on the webpage that you may right-click on.
For links on a webpage that you might want to open in a private window, right clicking on them provides a context menu that's different from when you right-click on selected text. For right-clicking a link, the context menu with the PrivateSearch menu-item won't appear. For links, Firefox offers "Open Link In New Private Window." For private-searching text that you select, you'll need this add-on.
I'm just saying that, so maybe someone won't get confused, like I got. I tried to open a link in a private window, but I couldn't find PrivateSearch's context menu item and thought it vanished. But it's still there for private-searching after selecting some text, the way it's supposed to be.
A helpful detail: when you right-click on text you selected and want to privately-search for, you get a very long context menu that begins with "Cut," "Copy," "Paste," etc. The PrivateSearch context menu item is down towards the bottom of the menu, and would be difficult to find quickly, except that the menu item includes a little magnifying-glass icon, so it's actually easy to find quickly.
In summary, practice, practice, practice.
