Old School GitHub

Revert GitHub's UI back to its classic look (before the June 23, 2020 update that has a flat, rounded and more whitespaced design).

Old School GitHub - Revert GitHub's UI back to its classic look

Old School GitHub is a Firefox add-on that reverts GitHub's UI back to its classic look, restoring features such as moving header tabs, highlighting selected pages, classic-style buttons and labels, row separators in the file explorer, removing circular user images and rounded corners, and fixing various UI elements. It is a convenient tool for users who preferred the previous design.

User reviews

I hadn't even realized GitHub had changed. Thanks for this extension. Rounded corners reminds me of flat design back in 2012-2013 when Windows 8 was released and designers moved away from skeuomorphism (3D, distinct, colorful buttons and design), suddenly flat design was everywhere. We've just gotten used to it now they're adding rounded corners everywhere! Android 12 compared to 11 is very ugly for example, please stop the round design, especially Material You design! Rant over.
