Dark Night Mode is a free, open-source Chrome extension that automatically applies a universal dark mode to all websites you visit, reducing eye strain especially during nighttime browsing. Using a unique algorithm, it intelligently darkens colors without inverting them, preserving natural visuals and preventing image distortion.

Features include a brightness slider to customize screen dimness beyond your device's settings, an Auto mode that activates dark mode between 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM, and a whitelist to exclude specific websites. It also minimizes white flashes during page loads for a smoother experience. Although not perfect due to website variability, Dark Night Mode strikes an optimal balance between speed and visual comfort. Developed with care by two developers over two months, this extension helps improve sleep and reduce eye discomfort for dedicated internet users.
