Chrome Mask

Makes Firefox wear a mask to look like Chrome to websites that block Firefox otherwise.

Chrome Mask - Firefox Add-on

"Chrome Mask" is a Firefox add-on that allows users to spoof their browser identity to look like Chrome on specific websites. Unlike typical user agent spoofers, it automatically updates the Chrome version, selects the correct operating system, and enhances compatibility by shimming JavaScript attributes for seamless functionality. With a simple one-click toggle, users can bypass restrictions on sites that block Firefox, ensuring a smoother browsing experience.

  • Effectiveness of the masking is questioned
  • Need for a setting to keep the mask always on for ease of use
User reviews
This used to be the best way to get around YouTube's Firefox nonsense, but now it's the opposite, YouTube is completely broken when this is enabled for the site. It took me so long to figure out why YouTube barely worked in Firefox anymore, and it turned out this was the culprit. The addon is still great on a bunch of other sites though, so I still recommend it.
