User reviews
Users appreciate Cookie Manager's ability to effectively find, edit, and remove cookies, including on Firefox for Android and within containers. The addon provides extensive filtering and export options. However, multiple reviews note it does not fully remove all cookie traces, necessitating manual cleanup in Firefox settings. The recent removal of quick search date setting was unpopular. The UI is criticized for being cluttered and visually unappealing, with limited sorting and usability features. Some users report incompatibility with newer Firefox versions, and exported cookies lack compatibility with Chrome extensions.
Pros
- Allows effective removal and editing of cookies, including in Firefox for Android.
- Supports cookie management by container, with filtering and search capabilities.
- Simple and easy-to-use user interface.
- Able to find and delete cookies that other extensions or Firefox itself miss.
- Supports exporting cookies into JSON files.
Cons
- Does not remove all cookies or all cookie-like traces, often requiring additional manual deletion through Firefox settings.
- Removal of a useful feature that quickly sets search time/date to now, reducing convenience.
- User interface is unattractive and cluttered, with poor column sizing and lack of sorting options.
- Incompatibility with the latest Firefox versions for some users, causing functionality issues.
- Exported JSON cookie files are not recognized by Chrome cookie extensions, limiting cross-browser utility.

This ap does not remove all cookies or other cookie-like traces left by most sites. If you go to Tools>Settings>Privacy& Security> Manage Data and click twice on "Last used" you will see most recent cookies left by all sites. You will also see the ones Cookie Manager leaves on your computer. You can delete them from there so why use Cook. Mgr. and then have to visit Tools to complete the removal??

Not happy about the removal of the very helpful option to quickly set the search time/date to NOW. That was actually the most useful feature this extension had, and now it's gone... -2 stars for that.
