Twitch Followed Streams is a Firefox add-on that allows you to easily check which of your followed Twitch channels are currently streaming. It provides convenient buttons to open the stream on Twitch, view the stream video in a popup, or open the chat in a popup. You can also browse videos of your followed channels and receive notifications for new streams.

Probably the best notifier there is, but it's currently broken and not automatically updating whos streaming.
