CCaptioner is a Firefox extension designed to enhance the video viewing experience by adding the ability to assign a text track or subtitles to HTML5 videos. Many video players do not offer this feature, but with CCaptioner, you can easily add a .srt or .vtt file as a text track. It can be injected into specific websites when clicked on its toolbar icon. Due to its activeTab and permissions, it can interact with loaded web pages and be used in embedded iframe elements. Additionally, it allows for time-shifting the text track, useful when synchronisation issues arise.
